Banjo is a brown bear and the protagonist of the Banjo-Kazooie series, along with his red-feathered friend Kazooie. His first appearance was in the Nintendo 64 racing game Diddy Kong Racing where he was one of Conker's best friends.

In both Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live and Reloaded, his head is stuffed and mounted over a fireplace in The Cock and Plucker. Also, the Tediz seem to take some inspiration from him
