Clang Goblings, (A.K.A. Odd Little Armored Imps), are green Goblings in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded that wear round armor that allows them to retreat into their armor and curl up like a ball. Their armor also has the feature of protruding spikes from within as the Gobling curls up, which acts as a defense mechanism.
They are typically found swimming in or walking near bodies of water and appear most frequently in Bat's Tower. But in Conker: Live & Reloaded, they are common mooks/enemies that appear more often than in the original, and can be defeated by Conker hitting them with a Baseball Bat.
Clang Goblings cannot be defeated with a frying pan in Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Appearances
In Conker's Bad Fur Day, the Clang Goblings appear on the lake heading to Bat's Tower. Two are swimming around the lake and the other is protecting the button which, when activated, causes a whirlpool. Conker must throw the Pooball at the one protecting the button. Then, the other two go into the whirlpool. Some appear in the top of Bat's Tower. While others appear when Conker is swimming in the vault in Bat's Tower, and when he is escorting the Catfish to the safe. One last Clang Gobling appears after Conker defeats The Big Big Guy.
In Conker: Live & Reloaded, they are seen in multiple chapters throughout the game and can be killed. Among these chapters(besides Bat's Tower) are Hungover, Windy, and Uga Buga.
Trivia
- It is possible their armor and water-based mannerisms are somehow connected to the mechanical fish-like creatures of the same name.
- The Clang Goblings are most known for their music that plays when their around.
